Sheriffs are peace-keeping officers of the Frontierswoman's League. They have the rank of Aunt and oversee a large area: a planet, large swaths of an asteroid field, a space station, etc.
Due to their expansive jurisdiction each sheriff has a number of deputies to aid her in those duties. Each deputy is a League Sister.
